Anchor & Heart Lacquer My Friends, My Anchors Collection Swatches and Review

Press Sample

Hi everyone! If you remember, a few months back I showed you Anchor & Heart Lacquer's debut collection Home.  It was such a lovely collection and now I'm excited to show you their sophomore collection: My Friends, My Anchors.  It consists of 7 polishes of different colors and finishes. The names of the polishes in this collection were thought up by members in the Anchor & Heart Lacquer fan group (join here) and are inspired by qualities many value in friendship.  The collection will be available from Anchor & Heart Lacquer Friday, May 20th at 8pm EST.

Anchor & Heart Lacquer The Sincerest.  This is a creamy light pastel blue toned purple that looks almost periwinkle.  It has ultrachrome flakes, violet shimmer, and a bit of holo micro glitter.  The formula is easy to work with and it dries to a smooth finish.

This is 3 coats for photography purposes, but looks good in 2.

Anchor & Heart Lacquer The Vivacious.  This is a slightly dusty raspberry holo with intense gold shimmer and violet holo micro glitter.  Another great formula.  This goes on like a crelly and is very easy to apply.

This is 2 coats.

Anchor & Heart Lacquer The Selfless.  This is a stark light blue creme with golden pink shimmer and hints of blue glass fleck.  I had a hard time getting the shimmer to show more on camera, but it's definitely there!  The formula has a nice consistency though it didn't quite level as well as I'd like.

This is 3 coats.

Anchor & Heart Lacquer The Rock.  This polish is absolutely stunning.  It's a gray linear holo with heavy reddish purple shimmer.  The shimmer in this is camera shy, but it's definitely there, especially in direct lighting.  No application issues!

This is 2 coats.

Anchor & Heart Lacquer The Free Spirit.  This is a light yellow crelly with iridescent micro glitter as well as a scattering of golden pink shimmer.  The formula is easy to work with and is a tiny bit sheer.

This is 3 coats.

Anchor & Heart Lacquer The Motivator.  This is the kind of color that invokes visions of mermaids.  It's a green aqua with green and silver shimmer that actually comes off as gold and linear holo.  It actually comes off a tad metallic.  It's very pretty.  The formula is easy to work with.  It goes on sheer initially but builds up well.

This is 3 coats.

Anchor & Heart Lacquer The Stubborn.  This is a dusty midtoned blue with violet/blue ultrachrome flakes, strong blue shimmer, as well as a bit of pale blue holo micro glitter.  It has a nice consistency, but I'd suggest waiting between coats.

This is 3 coats.

Another lovely collection!  I love that there's a yellow and love that I can see myself wearing every one of these polishes.  If I had to pick favorites, I'd have to go with The Rock.  I think gray is an under done color and I'd love for more indies to embrace it.

Again, these will be available Friday, May 20th at 8pm EST.  Be sure to check Anchor & Heart Lacquer out at the following spots!

  2. There all so pretty! My favorites are Anchor & Heart Lacquer The Sincerest and Anchor & Heart Lacquer The Stubborn because of those flakie bits in them.

  3. Beautiful swatches and photos! Anchor heart lacquer is a new to me indie that I just became acquainted with last month. I saw swatches on newsie nail novice, and couldn't resist. I bought five of her polishes in fact. As far as this collection goes only the vivacious and the stubborn appeal to me, but now that I think about it I like the color of the motivator.
